NU radio celebrates its third year of live broadcasting this year. Featuring a wide range of student created shows; the station has recently released additional slots for new shows. If you would like to get involved pop along to the next station meeting and get trained up on the Tuesday 20th January at Avenue Student Union.
The station is run by MJ Hall who has the following message for the year,
‘NURadio is a hidden gem in the University. Our presenters have creative control on what they broadcast and play, making it an extremely rewarding and enjoyable hobby. So, whether it’s knitting or hardcore dubstep, you can get speaking about it!
We have lots of slots left for new and exciting shows. Inexperienced? No worries: you’ll be trained on how to use the fancy equipment and how to make a fantastic show. If you want to join us (which you should) email firstname.lastname@example.org expressing your interest! Or, come along to a training session, the next one is on the 20th January at 6:30pm at Avenue SU.
Towards the end of the year, we will be increasing our amount of special segments on air. This means more bands, interviews and a larger audience. Also, there’s the NURadio awards, which are always a laugh and a great way to celebrate the year’s content.’
