The Movie Hub finds new home in town

Reelscape Community have launched their Movie Hub at Weston Favell Shopping centre and will be running 8 weeks of workshops where young people can work alongside industry professionals on the Pre-production of a feature film for cinema. Participants will help design and build sets, source props and costumes, rehearse actors, develop the script and participate in camera and lighting tests.

The founder Becky Carrier’s film credits include; Co-Producer of the OSCAR-qualifying short The Boy with a Camera for a Face featured the voice of Steven Berkoff
Unit Manager of Rise of the Footsoldier and Oh Happy Day
Line Producer of Shakespeare: Staging the World commercial for the British Museum, t
he feature The Devil Went Down To Islington starring Mark Benton and Ronni Ancona, Oscar shortlisted short Hotel starring Art Malik.

Rebecca has shared her skills and industry experience at previous Subject Future events as well as acting as producer on the short Full Circle. Media Production students worked alongside her and the Reelscape crew.
