Northampton 72 Hour Film Competition 2016

The University launched the first Northampton 72 hour film competition on May the 2nd 2016, it was open to both students and local film makers with the whole creative process taking place over just three days.

It was a race against the clock to write, shoot and edit a new film with certain criteria including a line of dialogue, genre and prop set for each group at the beginning of the competition.

The winners were:

BEST FILM: GEN 2601 (Prize £250 by The University of Northampton)
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: GEN 2601 (Prize £50 voucher by Skears Photography)
BEST SOUND: The Lure (Prize £20 voucher from Spiral Archive Records)
BEST EDITING: The Lure (Prize comedy night and meal from The Picturedrome)
BEST POST PRODUCTION / FX: GEN 2601 (Prize 5x Cinema tickets from The Errol Flynn Filmhouse
BEST SCREENPLAY: Cherries (Prize £25 Food & Drink Voucher from The Lamplighter)
